What's cooking? Everything...
Yesterday was our Anniversary.  Angela and I have been married seven years now.  (November will mark the ten-year anniversary of our first date.)

Normally, this would be Coast Week -- we spend the week of our anniversary each year at the Coast, relaxing and forgetting about daily life.  But this year, between my work deadlines and Angela's health -- it just wasn't practical.  So we postponed it for a couple of months -- we'll be going in September (and renting a large house, rather than staying in our usual motel).

For our Anniversary itself, last night, we went out to a ritzy restaurant in Corvallis for the first time, called Magenta.

Angela tried the Wild Boar (and loved it).  I stayed safe with a beef tenderloin (one of only two items on the Summer menu that appeared to qualify as Reed Food).

It was all quite fancy shmancy.  Angela was appropriately spoiled.  :)

Meanwhile, the high temperature for today and tomorrow here in the Valley is forecasted at 107.  And at the Coast, it is a lovely 75 degrees.  As Angela keeps reminding me... ;)

Ah well...

Lovely. Hope you two had a wonderful anniversary. At 7 years, you're well established. Definitely not newlyweds anymore.

I heard about your crazy, unusual hot weather. In Fresno, that would be normal for us in July and August. But so far our summer has been unusually mild... only one day at 107 degrees. If the weather forecast is to be believed, it will be a cool 91 degrees here on Thursday... September weather.
